From 06 to 08 July 2022, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis, attended the 29th Annual Conference of European Armies held in Garmisch–Partenkirchen, Germany, by the United States Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR–AF).
The Conference, which is one of the top activities on defence cooperation in Europe, was attended by the Commanding General of United States Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR–AF) and Army Chiefs of Staff from European States, the US, and Canada.
The main subject of the Conference was Meeting the Challenge of Large-Scale Combat in Europe: Stronger Together).
On the sidelines of the Conference, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff had bilateral meetings with his counterparts from the US, General James C. McConville, France, General Pierre Schill, Germany, Lieutenant General Alfons Mais, and Italy, Lieutenant General Pietro Serino. During these meetings, which took place in an excellent atmosphere, they discussed matters of mutual interest.
