From 01 to 02 July 2026, the Chief HAGS, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, visited the Area of Responsibility of the Supreme Military Command of Thrace “THRAKI”, accompanied by its Commanding General, Lieutenant General Panagiotis Kavidopoulos.

In particular, on Wednesday 01 July 2026, the Chief visited the XVI Mechanised Infantry Division “DIDYMOTIHO”, the 3^rd Mechanised Brigade “RIMINI”, and Camp “RESERVE SECOND LIEUTENANT ANASTASIOU PAPANASTASIOU” in Orestiada, where he was briefed on the mission, operational and training activities of the Formations and provided guidelines to the personnel.

Afterwards, the Chief visited the 50^th Mechanised Brigade “APSOS” in Soufli and Camp “RESERVE SECOND LIEUTENANT GEORGIOU PATSOUKA” in Alexandroupolis, where he provided guidelines to the Commanders of the Formations and Units – Independent Subunits of the XII Mechanised Infantry Division “EVROS” and the XXIII Armour Brigade “3^rd CAVALRY REGIMENT DORYLEON”, and was briefed on the operational and training activities of the Formations.

On Thursday 02 July 2026, the Chief visited the Headquarters of the Supreme Military Command of Thrace “THRAKI”, the 29^th Motorised Brigade “POGRADETS”, the XXV Armour Brigade “2^nd CAVALRY REGIMENT – EFESOS”, Camps “LIEUTENANT CHATZIMICHAIL MICHAIL” and “CAPTAIN MICHAIL VOGDOU”, where he was briefed on the mission, operational and training activities of the Formations and provided guidelines to the personnel.
