On Thursday 04 June 2026, the Chief HAGS, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, accompanied by the Army Inspector General / Commanding General EU-OHQ, Lieutenant General Stavros Papastathopoulos, visited the Lamia Newly Recruited Soldier Training Centre (Ordnance Corps Training Centre) on the occasion of the 2026 B Enlistment Series of Newly Recruited Soldiers reporting for duty and the implementation of the institution of voluntary enlistment for women in the Hellenic Army.

During his visit, the Chief was briefed on the progress of the 2026 B Enlistment Series, as well as the reception and the progress of enlistment of Greek women volunteers, while he observed part of it and made a brief address to them.
