On Monday 02 September 2024, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis visited the Area of Responsibility of the 79th Higher National Guard Battalions Command “MYKALI”, accompanied by the Commanding General of the Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands “AEGEAS”, Lieutenant General Emmanouil Theodorou”.

In particular, the Chief visited the Defence Command of IKARIA island, the National Guard Battalion of AGIOS KIRIKOS, the Surveillance Outposts “KEFALES” and “FOURNOI”, and military facilities.

He then gave a short address and provided guidelines to the Units’ personnel.
