During May 2018, the Army, within the framework of its social contribution, conducted 23 day and night missions with helicopters of the 1st Army Aviation Brigade for the aeromedical evacuation of 32 patients from islands of the Central and Southeast Aegean to city hospitals.
Army Aviation helicopters carry out the above social contribution activities in addition to their multiple everyday operational involvements (exercises, troop transportation, surveillance, reconnaissance, etc.).
