Lt. Gen. (GRC A) Emmanuel Theodorou
Lieutenant General Emmanuel Theodorou was born in 1967 in Komotini. He was admitted to the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) in 1984 and graduated in 1988 as Infantry Second Lieutenant.
As a junior Officer, he served in Army Units as Platoon and Company Commander. Also, he was assigned in the Hellenic Military Academy as Platoon Leader.
He has attended all required Infantry Schools and NATO terminology course.
In 2004, he attended the Hellenic Supreme Joint War College in Thessaloniki and in 2013, he was selected to attend the Hellenic National Defense College.
As a Senior Officer he served as Deputy Commanding Officer of Infantry Battalion and as staff Officer in the 79 National Guard Higher Command, in the 7th Mechanized Brigade and in the Hellenic Army General Staff (HAGS).
In 2008, he was assigned as Commanding Officer of the 239 Mechanized Infantry Battalion, while in 2012, he served as Chief of Staff (COS) of 79 National Guard Higher Command.
In 2014, he served as Commanding Officer of the Hellenic Force in Cyprus.
In 2018, he was promoted to Brigadier General and he assigned to the HAGS as Director of Current Land Operations.
In 2019, he served as Commanding Officer of the 80 National Guard Higher Command.
In 2020, he was assigned to the Hellenic National Defense General Staff (HNDGS), as Director of Training.
In 2021, he was promoted to Major General and was assigned as Commanding General of the 95 National Guard Higher Command.
In 2022, he served as Deputy Commander of the Supreme Military Command of Interior and Islands.
In 2023, he was appointed to HAGS as the Director of A΄ Branch (Operations).
In 2024, he was promoted to Lieutenant General and was assigned as Commanding General of the Supreme Military Command of Interior and Islands.
Lieutenant General Emmanuel Theodorou has been awarded all decorations, commendations and medals provided for his rank.
He speaks English and French fluently.
He is married with two children.
