On Monday, 04 June 2018, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Alkiviadis Stefanis, visited the Infantry School in Halkis, Evia.
In his address to the Captains and Lieutenants of the Advanced Training Course and the 2nd Lieutenants, Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) Class of 2017, of the Infantry School Basic Training Course, the Chief stressed the following:
– The concept of People-centric Command, with particular focus on the power of serving as an example, as the drive wheel of personnel management.
– The importance of modern practical training before the implementation of any operational plan.
– The need for self-improvement at all levels.
– The need to adopt new views in the Army in order to deal with everyday problems.
– He wished them good luck with their studies and prompted them to believe that each of them can make a difference in any context in the future.
Finally, the Chief congratulated the personnel of the Infantry School for their high morale, professionalism, and high sense of duty.
