On Monday 07 May 2018, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Alkiviadis Stefanis visited the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) and gave a speech at the amphitheatre on Command and Leadership to the Cadets of the ΙV Class.
The Chief during his speech, among others, mentioned the following:
– The evolution of the Leader’s role, throughout time and his/her distinguishing features.
– The idea of a Humanist Command, with particular reference to the power of example, as the driving force of personnel management.
– The culture of positivity, hard work and the inclination for continuous improvement which must characterise the new officers in all the fields.
– The secret of successful leadership, which is none other than the passion and love for the military profession and the Homeland.
