On Friday, 22 February 2019, a ceremony was held at the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) for the award of postgraduate degrees to graduates of the 2nd Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Programme of the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) and the School of Production Engineering and Management of the Technical University of Crete.
The postgraduate programmes were offered jointly by the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) and the Technical University of Crete. Nineteen postgraduate degrees were awarded in the fields of “Systems Engineering” and “Applied Operational Research and Analysis”. Lectures were held at the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) and graduates included 6 Army Officers.
These postgraduate programmes are the result of efforts to boost research activity, are related to the fields of military science and technology, and are closely connected to the needs of the Armed Forces.
The ceremony was attended and diplomas were awarded by the Army Inspector General – Commander of the Training Doctrine Command, Lieutenant General Antonios Nomikos, the Commandant of the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon), Brigadier General Dimitrios Houpis, the Deans of the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon), Mr. Nikolaos Daras, and the School of Production Engineering and Management of the Technical University of Crete, Mr. Nikolaos Tsourveloudis, the Director of the Systems Engineering Postgraduate Programme, Professor Nikolaos Matsatsinis, Hellenic Army General Staff and Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) military personnel, as well as family and friends of the graduates.
The Hellenic Army General Staff wishes them good health and all success in their duties.
