On Monday 26 February 2018, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Alkiviadis Stefanis, awarded a prize to the Soldier Nathanail Vasileios from the Military Band of the Higher Military Command of Army Support.
Soldier Nathanail studied piano at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki, from where he graduated in 2013 with distinction and was awarded the Piano Diploma. He is a senior student of the Department of Music Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He has won awards at music competitions and has been granted scholarships by the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki and the Gina Bachauer International Piano Foundation. He has participated in International Music Festivals, as well as in numerous other music events.
During his military service, Soldier Nathanail has been involved responsibly in 91 assigned duties and activities of the Military Band as a musical instrument (piano) performer. In this way, he confirmed his interest in the Service, his exceptional professional training and the great sense of responsibility that he feels.
The Hellenic Army General Staff believes that it is extremely important to highlight actions performed by its personnel in all areas, which works on a daily basis with enthusiasm, selflessly and with a great sense of responsibility, promoting the Army and the Armed Forces in general in the best possible way.
The event for awarding Soldier Nathanail was held in the presence of his parents, Spyridonas and Aspasia – Galateia.
