Army Social Contribution Activities – May 2018 (Search and Clearance of Suspect Areas and Handling of EOD Incidents by the Army Landmine Clearance Battalion)

During May 2018, the Army, within the framework of its social contribution, provided Army Landmine Clearance Battalion personnel and assets to search 4.66 hectares of land, where 6 mines, 161 pieces of ammunition, and 47 hand grenades were found, cleared, and disposed of.
Furthermore, 16 EOD incidents were immediately and successfully handled, during both day and night time, upon request by the competent authorities of the Ministry of Citizen Protection. 11 hand grenades, 6 pieces of ammunition, and 1 mine were disposed of.
