On Thursday, August 13, 2026, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, accompanied by the Commanding General of the Supreme Military Command of the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean “AIGEAS” Lieutenant General Dimitrios Vakentis, visited the Area of Responsibility of the 88th Military Command “LIMNOS.”

During his visit, the Chief visited the headquarters of the 88th Military Command at the “Admiral Pavlos Kountouriotis” Camp, where he was briefed on the Formation’s mission, operational status and training activities and issued guidelines to the commanders of its units and independent sub-units.

Subsequently, the Chief visited the “First Lieutenant Dimitrios Kardamilas” Camp, where he addressed the personnel of the 88th Military Command, toured the facilities and issued guidelines to the personnel.
