On Friday 17 July 2026, the kick-off meeting for the establishment of a Non-Commissioned Officers Network took place in Brussels, with the initiative of the Hellenic Career NCO Academy in cooperation with the European Security and Defence College (ESDC).

The meeting was attended by the Hellenic Career NCO Academy Commandant, Brigadier General Konstantinos Kotakos, and representatives from NCO Academies from 20 countries.

During the proceedings, the suggested operating framework of the Network was examined, in order to reinforce cooperation between NCO Academies and exchange optimal educational practices.

The Greek proposal was met with a particularly positive response by the participating countries, while it was decided that the first official meeting of the Network to be established will be held at the grounds of the Hellenic Career NCO Academy in Trikala, on 3 and 4 December 2026.
