On Friday 03 July 2026, the oath-taking ceremony of the new Class of 2026 “MAJOR GENERAL DIMITRIOS THEODORAKIS” Career Sergeants took place at the Career NCO Academy, in Trikala. The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Athanasios Davakis and the Chief HAGS, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis.

The ceremony was also attended by MP Ms. Marina Kondotoli, the Metropolitan of Trikki, Gardikio, and Pyli, Mr. Chrisostomos, representatives of the Chief HAFGS, the Chief HNGS, and the Chief of the Cypriot National Guard General Staff, the Director of HAGS/Army Inspectorate General/Military Training Directorate, Major General Anastasios Dimoulas, the Consul General of Georgia in Thessaloniki, Mr. Gela Japaridze, representatives of the Local Government, active duty and retired Officers of the Armed and Security Forces, academic authorities, the families of the oath-taking NCOs and the namesake hero of the Class of 2026, Major General Dimitrios Theodorakis, as well as other guests.

In total, 160 Career Sergeants took the oath, of whom 115 from Greece, 40 from Cyprus, and 5 from Georgia.
