The 19th Army Underwater Demolition Course took place from 09 March 2023 to 19 June 2026 at the Special Forces Training Centre in Nea Peramos.
The Course’s objective is to provide special operational training to Special Forces Unit personnel in underwater demolitions. The training included, among others, combat physical training, surface swimming, underwater swimming, sea jump, and physical tests.
The graduation ceremony took place on Friday, 19 June 2026, and was attended by the Commanding General of the Hellenic Special Warfare Command of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Gakis, as representative of the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Dimitrios Choupis, the Director of the Special Forces Directorate of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Brigadier General Vasilios Papadopoulos, the Defence Attaché of the Republic of Cyprus, Commander Andreas Charalambidis HN, active duty officers, and family members of the graduates.
