On Sunday 22 March 2026, in the presence of the Minister of National Defence Mr. Dendias, as representative of the Hellenic Government, the Chief/HNDGS, General Dimitrios Choupis, and the Chief/HAGS, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, commemorative celebrations were held for the 200th Anniversary of the Heroic Exodus of the Garrison of the Free Besieged in Messolonghi. The celebrations included, among others, a Memorial Service and Doxology at the Church of St. Spyridon, officiated by His Eminence, the Metropolitan of Aetolia-Acarnania, Mr. Damaskinos, and wreath laying at the Garden of Heroes, followed by a parade in the town of Messolonghi. #ΕλληνικόςΣτρατός #HellenicArmy
