On Saturday, 14 June 2025, in the presence of the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, a musical event took place at the Auditorium of the Athens War Museum with renowned composer Georgios Hatzinasios, within the framework of the celebrations for the 200th anniversary of the establishment of the first Army Band in Greece.

Before the event, there was a tour of the exhibition of photographs and objects at the Museum foyer.

The event included audiovisual material dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the establishment of the first Army Band in Greece, a musical feature by the Hellenic Army Support Command’s Army Band, as well as a musical partnership between Mr. Georgios Hatzinasios and the Hellenic Army Support Command’s Army Band.

The event was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Papagos – Holargos, Ms. Ekaterini Gouma as representative of the Mayor of Papagos – Holargos, the Commander of the Higher Army Support Military Command “THISEAS” Lieutenant General Dimitrios Vakentis, Chief of Staff HAGS Lieutenant General Grigorios Bountliakis, representatives of the Chiefs of Hellenic Navy General Staff and Hellenic Air Force General Staff, the former Minister of Citizen’s Protection and Honorary Chief of HAGS General (ret.) Charalambos Lalousis, the Honorary Chief of the National Guard General Staff General (ret.) Georgios Basiakoulis, the President of the War Museum and Honorary Commander of the Hellenicc Air Force Academy Lieutenant General (ret.) Konstantinos Karamesinis as well as active duty and retired Armed and Security Forces officers.

The event was concluded with the presentation of commemorative gifts to the performers by the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff.
