On Monday 2 June 2025, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, participated in the Symposium of the Army Chiefs of the Mediterranean in Toulon – France, following an invitation of the Chief of the French Army Staff, General Pierre Schill, on “The Mediterranean, a common region for land cooperation”.

In the context of the Symposium, the Chief participated in a roundtable discussion, where he touched on the future of the Mediterranean in 10 years, operational cooperation and preparation, as well as on hybrid-cyber threats, presenting suggestions on finding joint political response.

In the margins of the Symposium, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff had a bilateral meeting with the Chief of the French Army Staff, General Pierre Schill. In the course of their meeting, held in an excellent level, the two men discussed the current news, evaluated the agreed activities and exchanged views on future cooperation in new fields.
