On Monday 26 May 2025, the Inauguration Ceremony of the “IMMEDIATE RESPONSE – 25” International Exercise took place. The exercise will be held from Monday 26 May to Saturday 07 June 2025, in the framework of the Hellenic Army’s international activities, with the participation of units from the Armed Forces of Greece, Bulgaria, France, Georgia, the Republic of North Macedonia, the USA, and Spain, in the D Army Corps “THRACE” Area of Responsibility.

During the exercise, participants will act out scenarios of defensive and offensive operations, perform fire training with all weapon systems, perform CBRN training, and train in small echelon live-fire FX, in order to reinforce the level of operational readiness and interoperability between participating forces.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Commanding General of D Army Corps “THRACE”, Lieutenant General Panagiotis Kavidopoulos, the Commanding General of XX Armoured Division “MACEDONIA – CAVALRY DIVISION”, Major General Ilias Kostakis, as well as the Commanding Officers of the participating forces.
