On Monday, 28 September 2026, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, visited the Infantry School in Halkis where new Infantry Second Lieutenants and Career Sergeants, Class of 2026, currently attend the Basic Training Course.

During his visit, the Chief was briefed on the School’s work and training activities and addressed the personnel and Students, stressing the importance of training and providing guidelines for its further upgrade.

Furthermore, he had a meeting with the Commanding General, HAGS/Army Inspectorate General/Military Training Command, the Commandants and Directors of Studies of the Arms – Corps Application Schools, as well as the Commandants of the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon), the Hellenic Army Career NCO Academy, the Hellenic Army War College, and the Armed Forces Special Weapons School, on the roadmap to introduce innovative technologies to the Army’s training.
