During April 2018, the Army, in the framework of its contribution to the society, engaged in air evacuation operations, for the execution of 23 missions, by the 1st Army Aviation Brigade’s helicopters, day and night, regarding air evacuation of 23 patients, from Central and South-East Aegean islands to city hospitals.
Army Aviation’s helicopters provide, on an everyday basis, the aforementioned services of social contribution, without even reducing their engagement in everyday’s multiple operational activities (exercises, troops transport, surveillance, reconnaissance, etc.).
