On Thursday June 21 2018 the Tactical Field Training Exercise (FTX) “PERITAS-2018” was conducted by the Service Support Division personnel, at the Litohoro Exercise Field. This exercise is conducted for the first time by the Armed Forces and is the capstone of a hard and realistic training, conducted by elements of Militarily Trained Dogs and their Escorts.

The FTX “PERITAS-2018” included a demonstration of the capabilities, as well as of the tactical use, of the Militarily Trained Dogs and their Escorts, facing threats and providing efficient custody of Units and Service Support installations, both in peacetime and in operations.

The exercise was attended by the Commander of the Higher Army Support Military Command, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Vassiliadis, the Commander of the Service Support Division, Major General Grigorios Grigoriadis, personnel and Students of the Non-Commissioned Officers School, as well as by the Commanders of Units and Independent Sub-Units using Militarily Trained Dogs and Escorts to guard military installations.

The perfect organisation and conduct of the exercise, the high operational readiness of the above elements, the high security level offered by the Military Dogs, as well as the capability to significantly reduce the personnel needed for the manning of Manoeuvre Units, were confirmed.
