The Hellenic Army General Staff keeps on planning and implementing actions, aiming at constantly training and informing the personnel about important topics of our time, such as the environmental protection, management and organization.
In this context, on Tuesday, November 13th 2018, a Meeting entitled “Environmental Protection through Energy Management” was organized by the XII Mechanised Infantry Division “EVROS” at the Alexandroupolis Guard Officers’ Club.
Current concerns, technological developments, as well as actions developed by the Division, with regard to the waste management (disposal) at source pilot program, were presented at the Meeting.
Keynote speakers were Mr. Falekas Ioannis – Deputy Mayor for the Environment and Energy, Mr. Fotios Tsagkas – representative of the Solid Waste Management authority (VIAMATH), as well as the Division’s environment Officers.
In the context of MoD and HNDGS’s environmental policy, we ensure that our personnel is aware towards “Energy and Environmental Management”.
