On Wednesday, 30 January 2019, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kambas, visited the Artillery Directorate, the Special Forces Directorate, the Artillery School, and the Special Forces Training Centre. After a brief tour of their facilities and premises, the Chief addressed the personnel (organic force and trainees), conveying his thoughts and initial guidelines, stressing, among others, the following:
– The main objective remains the increase of the Army’s combat power and the maintenance of our operational capability at all levels. Constant and operational training remains a first priority for the Army in order for everyone to become excellent fighters in their respective field.
– The main pillar of command for everyone is man, the most important force multiplier.
– Justice to everyone, regardless if this is not satisfactory to some.
– Focus on training. Avoidance of parallel actions during it.
