From 02 September to 05 December 2024 the 16th Army Underwater Demolitions Course took place in the base of the Special Forces Training Centre in Nea Peramos.
The purpose of the Course was to train the personnel of Special Forces Units in Underwater Demolitions. Among other subjects, the training included combat physical training, surface and underwater swimming, sea jump execution, and physical tests.
On Thursday 05 December 2024, the graduation ceremony took place in the Special Forces Training Centre. It was attended by the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, General Dimitrios Houpis, the Commanding General of the Special Warfare Command of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, Lieutenant General Prokopios Mavraganis, the Director of the Special Forces Directorate of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Major General Ioannis Korelis, active duty Officers, as well as the families of the graduates.
