On Sunday 20 October 2024, Phase C of the Rifle Firing Competition of the D Army Corps “THRAKI” National Guard took place in the Firing Range of Kavisos. National Guardsmen from the Alexandroupolis, Didymotiho, Soufli, and Komotini National Guard Battalions, as well as personnel and assets of the 31st Mechanised Brigade “KAMIA” participated in the competition.
Throughout the competition, the contestants demonstrated great effort, eagerness, and knowledge of tasks, confirming their high level of training and operational readiness. The Soufli and Komotini National Guard Battalions won the first place among the competing Battalions, in the 300 metre precise shot and in the operational shot correspondingly.
The competition was observed by the Commanding General of D Army Corps “THRAKI”, Lieutenant General Stavros Papastathopoulos.
