From 18 to 19 September 2024, the Commander of Ground Forces of the United Arab Emirates Major General Yousef Mayouf Al-Halami carried out an official visit to our Country, at the invitation of the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis.
On 18 September 2024, within the framework of the visit, the Chief HAGS welcomed his counterpart at “PAPAGOS” Camp. During the meeting, the strengthening of the bonds of the two Armies was discussed in a very good spirit, through the promotion of actions of bilateral military cooperation between both Armies by:
– Exchanging views on topics of common interest;
– Reviewing the progress in the implementation of already agreed actions;
– Seeking new areas of and fields for cooperation.
Then, Major General Yousef Mayouf Al-Halami visited the Army Academy, where he was informed about the Academy’s work and had a tour at its facilities.
On 19 September 2024, he visited the Military Engineers School in Loutraki – Korinthia, where he attended a demonstration by the Special Disaster Relief Unit of the 747 Special Engineer Battalion.
