Field Exercise “DIMOKRITOS 2024” was conducted in the area of Xanthi and Komotini, providing an opportunity for new Second Lieutenants and Career Sergeants of all Arms and Corps, Class of 2023, to practice their knowledge on defensive and offensive operations and logistics tasks under realistic conditions. The exercise also involved troops and assets of the XXI Armoured Brigade “PINDOS”, the XXIII Armoured Brigade “3RD CAVALRY REGIMENT DORYLEON”, the XXV Armoured Brigade “2ND CAVALRY REGIMENT EFESOS”, the 1st Army Aviation Brigade “KILKIS LAHANAS”, the 29th Motorised Infantry Brigade “POGRADETS”, the IV Service Support Brigade “ANTIPATROS”, and the Engineer Command of D Army Corps “THRAKI”.
During Field Exercise “DIMOKRITOS”, the Second Lieutenants and Career Sergeants conducted fire training and trained in the field on offensive and defensive operations tasks, water obstacle fording techniques, the deployment of a Brigade Logistics Area, and participated in a Field Exercise. Furthermore, they attended a “Double Action” Field Exercise, the heavy technical equipment recovery procedure, and a water obstacle fording demonstration.
