On Friday 12 and Sunday 14 May 2023, in the context of the exercise “DEFENDER EUROPE 2023”, the USAREUR-AF Band and Choir performed music assisted by the Military Bands of D and C Army Corps in Komotini and Thessaloniki correspondingly.

In particular, on Friday 12 May 2023, attendants at the event, which was realised with the courteous grant of the Komotini Concert Hall by the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, were the Commander of D Army Corps “Thrace” Lieutenant General Dimokritos Konstantakos, representatives of religious authorities, active and retired Officers of the Armed and Security Forces.

From 09 to 11 May 2023, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Angelos Choudeloudis, in the context of the International Defence and Security Exhibition “DEFEA 2023”, conducted under the aegis of the Hellenic Ministry of National Defence, took a tour of the exhibition's pavilions and had bilateral contacts with his counterpart from Ghana Major General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, with the representative of the Commander of USAREUR-AF Major General David B. Womack and with the representative of the Chief of the Land Forces of France Brigadier General Romain Charles. Afterwards, the Chief of HAGS conducted ceremonious meetings with the representatives of the Land Forces Chiefs of Indonesia Lieutenant General Agus Subiyanto, of Italy Major General Luciano Antoci and of Romania Brigadier General Bixi Mocanu.
