The National Tank Platoon Competition “OYMA 2024” took place from 05 to 09 February 2024 among Hellenic First Army/EU OHQ "ACHILLEAS” Armoured Units operating the LEO1A5 MBT at the Litohoro Tank Range.

The Tank Platoons were evaluated on operational procedures with measurable objective criteria, focusing, among others, on small echelon tactics, firing technique, and tank-related technical matters.

The final scores of the Platoons were based on the time required for each crew to complete the tasks and the individual scoring of their skills, particularly the accuracy of the shots fired.

Throughout the competition, the contestants demonstrated great effort, eagerness, and knowledge of tasks, confirming their high level of training and operational readiness.

Friday, 09 February 2024, was DV Day of the Competition and was attended by the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, the Commanding General of the Hellenic First Army/EU OHQ "ACHILLEAS”, Lieutenant General Dimokritos Konstantakos, and Hellenic Army Officers.
