On Wednesday, 30 September 2026, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, accompanied by the Commanding General of the Supreme Military Command of Interior and Islands “AEGEAS”, Lieutenant General Dimitrios Vakentis, visited the Area of Responsibility of the 79th Higher National Guard Battalions Command “MYKALI”.

During his visit, the Chief visited Camp “Potha”, where he was given a tour of its facilities.

The Chief then went to Camp “Paleokastriti”, where he addressed the personnel of the 79th Higher National Guard Battalions Command, was given a tour of its facilities, and provided guidelines.
