The Summer Camps have been established in littoral areas of the Greek territory and they are Military Units distributed in a way that they accommodate the Army personnel.

They operate in peacetime as resorts for the accommodation of the members and other eligible individuals, providing lodging, entertainment and board.

They have organised beaches, sports facilities, restaurants, canteens, cinemas and other common grounds for the entertainment and qualitative living of the vacationers.

From time to time, Summer Camps host various entertaining and artistic events.

The right for lodging in the Summer Camps is reserved for all active regular Officers, Warrant Officers, regular NCOs and Long-term Volunteers, as well as retired Army Officers and regular or retired Army civilian personnel.

Apart from lodging to eligible individuals, the competent Formations issue a significant number of daily entrance permits to eligible individuals, for them to visit the facilities, swim, have lunch and enjoy other amenities.
