The Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Georgios Kambas conducted a visit, on Tuesday 4 June 2019, to Units and Surveillance Outposts of the islands of Kos, Astypalaia and Nisyros, accompanied by the Commander of the Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands (AIGEAS) Lieutenant General Georgios Dimitropoulos.
During his visit, the Chief of HAGS:
– Was briefed on current activities.
– Visited the Units’ and Surveillance Outposts’ facilities.
– Examined readiness, calling the detachments into action, aiming to conclude if they adhere to the time criteria and processes based on the existing plans.
– Gave speeches and directions to the personnel and received members of the personnel’s Formation for private hearings.
