The Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Georgios Kambas conducted a visit, on Tuesday 2 July 2019, to Limnos and Agios Efstratios islands, in the area of responsibility of the Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands “AIGEAS”, accompanied by the Commander of the 88th Military Command “LIMNOS” Brigadier General Georgios Vaklatzis.
During his visit the Chief:
– Was briefed on the current activities.
– Visited the HQ of the 88th Military Command, Units and Outposts of the area, where he was briefed on the current activities and supervised the activation procedures and reaction times of the Time Readiness Detachments.
– He gave a speech, provided guidelines to the personnel and praised the essential work conducted, at a social as well as operational level.
