The Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis conducted a visit to the premises of the 1st Raiders – Paratroopers Brigade (EL ALAMEIN) and the Unconventional Warfare Training Centre, at the “Lieutenant General G. Katsanis” Camp, in Rentina – Thessaloniki, on Friday 24 October 2025, accompanied by the Commanding General of the 1st Infantry Division “Smyrna” Major General Dimitrios Drosos and the Director of HAGS/Special Forces Directorate Brigadier General Christos Spanidis.
During his visit, the Chief was given a tour of the facilities, was briefed on the mission, the operational and training activities as well as the timetable for the materialisation of reorganisation in the framework of Phase B’ of the New Structure of Forces. Following that, he gave a brief address, provided guidelines and congratulated the personnel on the executed work.
