On Monday 22 September 2025, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis visited the headquarters of the Infantry School at “MAJOR IOANNIS VELISSARIOS” Camp in Halkida, where new Second Lieutenants and Career Sergeants of Class 2025 are being currently trained in the Basic Training section.

During his visit, the Chief was briefed about the School’s work and its training activities. Then, he delivered a speech to both the personnel and the Students, stressing the importance of the training provided.

Afterwards, the Chief attended the 2nd Meeting of Commanders at Application Schools of Hellenic Army Arms and Corps-2025, where he gave guidelines to the Commanders for the training provided to Army personnel.
