On Friday, 27 July 2018, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Alkiviadis Stefanis, visited the Area of Responsibility of the 88th Military Command “LIMNOS”.
During his visit, the Chief:
– attended the oath-taking ceremony of 2018 D Enlistment Series Soldiers in “YPILARHOU DIMITRIOU KARDAMILA” Camp and then was briefed on the progress of the construction of a hostel and Professional Soldier Quarters in Myrina.
– addressed the Formation personnel, congratulated them on their professionalism and optimism, and briefed them on a series of actions within the framework of the Personnel Welfare Year 2018. Furthermore, he stressed the value of constant operational training and the Army’s role as a deterrence factor.
