On July 14th and 15th 2020, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis visited the Area of Responsibility of the 79 Higher National Guard Battalions Command (“MYKALI”), accompanied by the Commander of the Higher Military Command of Interior and Islands (“AIGEAS”), Lieutenant General Petros Demestichas.
During his visit, the Chief visited Units, Surveillance Outposts and military facilities in the Formation’s Area of Responsibility; he attended operational activities and provided directions to the personnel for the performance of its mission.
The visit confirmed the high readiness level and the realism of the training carried out, as well as the high morale of the personnel.
