On Wednesday 25 June 2025, after an invitation of the Cavalry – Armour Director of the Hellenic Army General Staff Brigadier General Aristidis Kavarlingos and the Armour Training Centre – New Recruits Training Centre Commanding General Brigadier General Konstantinos Kossioris, a visit and tour was conducted at the Avlonas Armour Training Centre – New Recruits Training Centre of a 10-year old student who, through the “Make-A-Wish” foundation, wished, due to his love for the Army and especially for main battle tanks, to have an experience as close as possible to a Greek member of the Armour.

During his visit, the 10-year old student had the opportunity to be given a tour of the training facilities of the Avlonas Armour Training Centre – New Recruits Training Centre, to observe demonstrations of the Armour’s force and other assets, as well as participate in training activities, thus experiencing for a day the life of a member of the Armour.

Finally, he was awarded the commemorative certificate, as well as commemorative items, so as to remember this unique, exciting day – the day his wish came true.
