On Thursday, 16 May 2019, the annual “Velissariou – Paparrodou” military sports games took place at the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) in Vari, Attica, in the presence of the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Georgios Kambas.
The aim of the games, beyond their symbolism, is to maintain tradition, promote fair play, develop a spirit of sport, and improve the physical endurance of cadets, teamwork, confidence, and esprit de corps. The winner was the 2nd Cadet Battalion “Maj (Art) Paparrodou Ioannis”.
