On Wednesday 11 April 2018, the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Alkiviadis Stefanis, paid a visit to Megara Military Airport. He specifically visited:
– The operation hall of the new helicopters flight simulator where he observed a demonstration of its capabilities.
– The under-construction housing facilities of CHINOOK type helicopters flight simulator.
– Afterwards, the Chief gave directions regarding the organization of the training, examining all possible battle scenarios, aiming to its optimization.
– He congratulated the Commanders on the preservation of the excellent level of readiness  displayed every day  in the context of scheduled and contingent operational and educational activities, as well as in the context of the Army’s  contribution to the society.
