On Friday 13 February 2026, the Chief/HAGS, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis visited the Areas of Responsibility of the Supreme Military Command of Epirus-Macedonia-NRDC/GR, “ALEXANDER THE GREAT” and the Supreme Military Command of Thrace “THRACE”.
Specifically, the Chief visited the Headquarters of the Supreme Military Command of Epirus-Macedonia/NRDC/GR, where he was received by its Commanding General, Lieutenant General Grigorios Boudliakis, was briefed concerning its mission, its operational and training activities and gave the personnel guidelines.
Subsequently, the Chief visited the 316 Technical Area Workshop, in Xanthi, where he was received by the Commanding General of the Supreme Military Command of Thrace “THRACE”, Lieutenant General Panagiotis Kavidopoulos, and toured its facilities. Afterwards, he went to the headquarters of XXV Armour Brigade “2nd CAVALRY REGIMENT – EFESSOS” and the 29th Motorised Infantry Brigade “POGRADETS”, where he was briefed concerning the Formation’s mission, operational and training activities, and gave the personnel of the Formations guidelines.
Finally, the Chief went to the headquarters of the XXI Armour Brigade “PINDOS”, in Komotini, where he received the Minister of National Defence, Mr Nikolaos Dendias. The Minister toured the Brigade’s grounds and was briefed concerning its mission and activities, as well as the training provided to the Formation’s personnel.
