On Wednesday, 7 December 2022, a ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Higher Army Support Military Command “THISEAS” for the award of the Officer’s sword to Army Officers other than graduates of the Hellenic Military Academy (Evelpidon) and the Corps Officer Military Academy. The swords were awarded by the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis.

Similar ceremonies took place at the headquarters of Major Commands – Formations across Greece.

After the ceremony, the Chief presented awards to the 308th Forward Base Plant for best Military Plant and to the 2nd Air Asset Intermediate Maintenance Workshop for best helicopter maintenance unit, within the framework of the Army Technical Equipment Maintenance Year.
