On Wednesday 20 November 2024, in the presence of the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, in the premises of the Faculty of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences of the Democritus University of Thrace in Orestiada, the signing ceremony of the memorandum of cooperation, between HAGS and the Democritus University of Thrace was conducted.

The main goal of the Memorandum is the provision of consultation services and the exchange of technical know-how between the two contracting parties, on issues which mainly focus on the protection and management of the natural environment, the minimisation of the environmental footprint and the quality of life. The aspect of the joint participation in research programmes and the cooperation in the framework of the Postgraduate Programmes and Doctorate Dissertations on issues of common interest is of particular importance.
