On Tuesday, 11 October 2022, a ceremony was held, in the presence of the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis, for the opening of the Didymotiho Branch of the Military Pharmacy of Athens, which was constructed with Army resources.

The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Didymotiho, Mr. Romylos Hatzigianoglou, His Eminence, the Metropolitan of Didymotiho, Orestiada, and Soufli, Mr. Damaskinos, the Commanding General of D Army Corps ”THRAKI”, Lieutenant General Ioannis Tsioplos, the Commanding General of the XVI Mechanised Infantry Division “DIDYMOTIHOU”, Major General Theodoros Hatzigeorgiou, and the Mayor of Orestiada, Mr. Vasilios Mavridis.
