From 27 to 30 January 2025 the Land Forces Commander of Albania, Lieutenant General Ilir Xhebexhia, paid an official visit to our country, following an invitation from Chief/HAGS, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis.
During a very amicable meeting, the strengthening of the bonds of the two Armies was discussed, through the increase of bilateral military cooperation actions.
Subsequently, he visited the Hellenic Army Academy (Evelpidon), where he was briefed on the Academy’s work, and toured its grounds.
On Wednesday 29 January 2025, he visited the Engineer School in Loutraki, where he observed a demonstration of the Special Disaster Relief Detachment, of the 747th Special Engineer Battalion. Furthermore, he visited the Special Forces Training Centre and the Paratroopers School, where he toured the grounds and observed a demonstration of training objectives.
