On Friday 01 August 2025, the oath-taking ceremonies of the newly recruited Professional Soldiers of the Army took place, at the Armour Training Centre – New Recruits Training Centre in Avlonas – Attica and at the Special Forces Training Centre – New Recruits Training Centre in Nea Peramos – Attica.
The oath-taking ceremony taking place at the Armour Training Centre – New Recruits Training Centre was attended by the Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr Thanasis Davakis accompanied by the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, as representative of the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff General Dimitrios Choupis and the Director of HAGS Cavalry – Armour Directorate Brigadier General Aristidis Kavarlingos.
The corresponding oath-taking ceremony taking place at the Special Forces Training Centre – New Recruits Training Centre was attended by the Commanding General of the Special Warfare Command of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff Lieutenant General Georgios Manouras and the Director of HAGS Special Forces Directorate Brigadier General Christos Spanidis, as representative of the Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis.
The oath-taking ceremonies were conducted in the presence of active Officers of the Armed and Security Forces, as well as relatives and friends of the newly recruited Professional Soldiers.
A total of 831 Professional Soldiers of Arms and Corps took the oath. 145 of them are assigned to the Special Forces and 44 to the Joint Information – Technology Corps.
