On Tuesday, May 22nd 2018, the naming ceremony of the Greek Guard House “PLAGIES – SOLDIER GEORGIOS KONTSALAKIS” was held.
Soldier Georgios Kontsalakis heroically died fighting on April 26th 1941 during World War II, in his effort to escape from a concentration camp of German occupiers in the area of Xanthi.
The ceremony has been attended by the Commander of D’ Army Corps “THRAKI”, Lieutenant General Georgios Kampas, local authorities and relatives of the Hero – Soldier Georgios Kontsalakis.
