On Monday, 23 May 2022, a ceremony was held at the Career NCO School in Trikala for the opening of the School’s new Mess – Recreation Hall building, which was built with a donation from the Republic of Cyprus.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Charalambos Petrides, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Charalampos Lalousis, as representative of the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff, and the Chief of Cypriot National Guard General Staff, Lieutenant General Dimokritos Zervakis.
The ceremony was also attended by the Head of the Region of Thessaly, Mr. Konstantinos Agorastos, the Mayor of Trikala, Mr. Dimitrios Papastergiou, the Metropolitan of Trikki, Gardiki & Pyli, Mr. Chrysostomos, the Army Inspector General – Commander of the Doctrine and Training Command, Lieutenant General Nikolaos Flaris, the Commanding General of the Hellenic First Army/EU OHQ “ACHILLEAS”, Lieutenant General Angelos Houdeloudis, the Deputy Head of Region for the Regional Unit of Trikala, Mr. Christos Mihalakis, and the former Deputy Minister of National Defence and Honorary Chief HAGS, General Alkiviadis Stefanis (ret.).
