On Sunday, 24 June 2018, a memorial and wreath laying ceremony was held at KAMENA VOURLA in memory of the soldier (INF) Vassilios Rachoutis, who was drowned on 26 September 2000, in his effort to save our fellowmen who were in danger during the sinking of the “EXPRESS SAMINA” ship.
The memorial took place at the area in front of Agios Panteleimonas Church, where lies the bust of the heroic Soldier.
